Wanting to Be Seen

Artist’s Statement

‘Wanting to Be Seen’ is an exploration into ageism and loneliness. The subject is alone, injured and vulnerable. His selfie captures the present. In the background, his memories of contributing to society, having family and friends, are vague and nearly forgotten. He waits, and wants to be seen.
