Invasive Objects

by Jill Boyles

Artist’s Statement

The sepia-tone and the damaged-looking borders conspire to displace the viewer, so the viewer can inhabit the photos and construct their own narratives. Through this type of storytelling, my hope is that the viewer’s narrative leads them to questions they had never thought to ask about their environment and their place within it.
